Tips for website designing

Website Designing is a Creative job there are no limitation for creativity. Put our thoughts on design. But the very important thing is we need to follow the web standards very strictly.

A. Request client for website requirement, try to understand clearly what he is looking for. If possible have a discussion over phone or by meet him personally. Because some clients are very specific about their requirements like

    * Colors scheme of the site
    * Dimensions of images and layout

B. Attentions on creating mockup

    * It is better to prepare a rough sketch on paper. It will give you clarity while preparing the design. If you are expert in photoshop you can work directly.
    * Put some attention for selecting color scheme. Lot of designers has a tenancy to use Colors. Color theme should be easier to eyes, should not give strain. With comparing the background color the foreground text needs to be very dark or very light which allows the visitors to stay long.
    * Font selection very important for a website. Use Different font sizes for headings, sub heading and the running content. Never go below 11px font.
    * Layout alignments should be very proper. Take an example a box is having 300 x 300 size, in side the box, the text should have padding of 10px of top right bottom and left. Other wise the text will start form zero position (top left corner) which very closes to the box so it looks very odd.
    * Maintain proper margins for each section. It will give you clear idea about each and every section, for example have margin space between header and menu tabs.
    * Navigation is heart of the website designing India, it plays a big role on your website. It should be common for all pages. Design the navigation (Horizontal or Vertical) base on your idea. If we placed the navigation in home page at one place and different in inner pages it will be a big confusion to the visitor.
